Halotron Fire Extinguishers
Halotron is a gas used to deprive a fire of oxygen. These are the ideal fire extinguishers to use on computers and sensitive electronics. They do not leave a residue or condensation moisture. However, they are not the ideal fire extinguisher for all applications. These fire extinguishers are rated BC.
- Hydrocholorofluoro Carbon agent pressurized by Argon gas.
- Non-conductive in a steel cylinder.
- Manufacture to ANSI/UL2129 and 711 standards. ISO9001-2000 registered.
- EPS & FAA approved as HCFC Blend B for Class ABC fires.
Typical uses include computer rooms, telephone switches, sensitive electronics equipment, motor control centers, control rooms, airplane cockpits, and other valuable assets needing a non-damaging agent.
Service information: Trained personnel should perform annual inspections for proper weight, condition, and pressure. A listed closed recovery system is needed for agent recharging to perform an internal examination of the cylinder which is required every 6 years or when other indications say it is needed. A hydro-test is required not more than 12 years apart.
